More Info

State: Virginia
Country: United States
Description: 10 gal:Running a YUGE duel head sponge filter with a top fin powerhead. A top fin HOB for 5 gal with a fluval biomax and simple cartridge physical media filter to help circulation. A full spectrum overhead dome light repurposed from reptile (I know). No plants. No substrate. PVC and Terracotta pots.
Advice: Talk to everyone. Fish isn't an exact science. The excitement is seeing the limits pushed. Seeing stuff that makes you question any hard rules you thought you knew about the hobby.
Corals/Plants: None
Tank Size: 10 gallons
Quote: Cichlids are like kids in a irish family. You treat them the same and they'll all kill eachother.
About Yourself: I am a manager of a Petsmart. So I had to get "certified" in the care of every animal we sell. This made me like fish. And now I'm seeking to actually be as knowledgable as I'm supposed to be. I like small tanks. Because they are challenging and tricky. All my tanks are more like stress tests. I want to push boundaries of what can be kept. Without getting some giant fish that cant turn around. That's just mean and not thought provoking.
